They were walking…

Anil Thambai

Our every day has changed;  connections and relationships have transformed to virtual space or flats, and apartments. The divide between the people who own and people who can afford a decent home, job, education and food has widened. I remember Bretolt brechlt’s poem ‘ A worker reads history’ when I think of the people who build these cities. My working process is very similar to how a labourer builds brick by brick. I try to metaphorically place myself drawing each brick by brick and create these buildings which are actually inhabitable spaces.

Our ancestors knew how to build a path
