Bahujan knowledge processes have always been a process of shared knowledge. The dominant knowledge-making paradigm in the Indian caste society has always brought a demarcation between knowledge and labour. This is an attempt to understand how the knowledge systems are an inherent part of labouring processes. My work mainly focuses on documenting oral histories and working with visual materials. In 2017 as part of my fieldwork, I documented oral histories of communities who stay across the port towns of Mumbai. Here I am presenting some of the hand-drawn images by weavers, carpenters and boatmakers whom I worked with during the research.
